Our tour guide offered the perfect blend of activity and free time. Each local guide offered new insight into our local, all bridged by our exremely capable, helpful, friendly, and observent guide. The entire tour group relied heavily on her expertise, knowledge and tact. The meals were excellent!! There would have been no way for us to have known where to dine; we are very grateful for food being part of the standard itinerary. We loved this tour - the locations, the pace, and especially our tour guide!

The accommodations were first rate and comfortable. The buses were air conditioned and clean. We were treated respectfully and with a great deal of charm. The Tour Director was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. Our tours in Rome and Pompeii were excellent. This was a vacation, and a enchanting learning experience for us. We have recommended this tour to many family members and friends.
Client who went on the "" tourMy daughter and I just returned from this wonderful trip and we want to thank all at Riviera who made this possible. The hotels were elegant, and the meals very French and delicious. We ate and drank in such beautiful settings, and thoroughly enjoyed the sights and sounds of France. Our coach drivers were all very helpful and geniuses at making their way around what looked to me to be a difficult driving situation with roads so narrow and the zigzagging crazy motorcyclists.
Mostly though, I want to thank you for our fabulous tour director. They are extremely knowledgeable about all things French and gave so freely of his time and energies to make sure that all of us were comfortable and that we saw what we wanted to see. They are an absolute gem. The Tour director was always on time-even if we were a bit tardy. He made arrangements for everything, and he is just plain fun to hang out with. He is an outstanding choice for a tour leader.
I plan to write to the Chicago Tribune to rave about this trip, and I hope that you can continue to offer tours to Americans-especially if they are as good as this one.

This was our first trip with Riviera Tours and my wife and I were so pleased with the total experience. Our Tour Director, was phenomenal. The local guides in Rome, Venice and Florence were excellent. We were attracted by the itinerary, but also by the train travel between cities. The luggage was transferred for us, so we never had to drag suitcases from place to place.Our Tour Director of course was everywhere. He made the trip memorable with his stories and historical perspectives on the places we visited. We especially liked the casual walks around Rome, Venice, Florence - and Pisa and Assisi.They took care of everything we needed - ticketing for the Eurostar, the Metro in Rome, the trains and water taxis in Venice. He enthusiastically provided all information we needed about when and where to meet, and was never at a loss for local restaurant recommendations for lunch and dinner. They made us all feel like we were travelling with a good friend.
We will definitely book more tours with Riviera - and most of our friends have already heard about what a great experience we had on this trip. You’re the best!
